YNN Rochester is a 24-hour news channel broadcast in Rochester, New York on Time Warner Cable Ch. 9 & available elsewhere on Ch. 14.

The station debuted on Ch. 5 in 1990 as "WGRC" (Greater Rochester Cablevision), making it by far the oldest station in Time Warner's YNN network. In 1992, the station changed to Ch. 9 & labeled itself as "GRC9News". Later, after Time Warner acquired cable franchise rights to the area, it was changed to just "R News". In 2005, some of the station's operations were merged with News 10 NOW, a sister station in Syracuse, New York & Capital News 9, a sister station in Albany, New York. Like it's sister stations in Albany & Buffalo, it airs on ch. 9.

On August 4th, 2009 @ 5:00 AM, R News became YNN Rochester (YNN standing for "Your News NOW"), co-branding the station with it's new Buffalo sister station YNN Buffalo. This branding was later expanded to the Syracuse (YNN Central New York) & Albany (YNN Capital Region) stations.

YNN Rochester, YNN Central New York, YNN Buffalo & YNN Capital Region also share news content with NY1, the Time Warner Cable local cable news channel in New York City
