The NASCAR Channel is a cable & satellite TV network broadcast to various parts of North America, but primarily the United States. The network based in Daytona Beach, Florida, currently broadcasts mostly NASCAR-related programming.

Programming includes LIVE NASCAR racing, NASCAR-related shows, how-to programming, auto shows, a daily news show & call-in shows. The NASCAR Channel is also the exclusive United States broadcaster of the NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race


The channel was launched on New Year's Day 1995. The channel was (& still is) owned by WMFL Corporation. Since the launch, The NASCAR Channel became the fastest growing cable network of all-time while delivering the highest male viewing audience per household of any cable or broadcast network in existence. Throughout the years, the channel increased NASCAR-related programming with viewership is @ it's all-time highs & the channel being added to many regular cable lineups

The NASCAR Channel-HDEdit

The NASCAR Channel-HD is a 1080i HD simulcast of The NASCAR Channel that was launched on February 8th, 2008. DirecTV was 1 of the 1st to carry this new channel. DISH Network launched The NASCAR Channel-HD on May 8th, 2009


The NASCAR Channel is primarily a satellite & digital cable network, although many areas in the U.S. do have the network in their basic cable packages. It's also available in Canada. Racing coverage is sometimes subject to blackout outside the US
