The HorseRacing Network (or HRN) is an American specialty channel dedicated to horse racing. The company broadcasts from Los Angeles, California. HRN is owned by WMFL Corporation.
HRN is an interactive horse racing network that combines LIVE, televised coverage from over 100 of the World's premier racetracks & allows viewers to make wagers from home: online, by phone, mobile phone & where available, using a set-top remote control. HRN provides of up to 18 or so hours per day of wire-to-wire coverage of LIVE horse racing action.
In addition to LIVE horse racing, HRN features professional race analysis, interviews, handicapping tips, feature stories on the superstars of horse racing - the horses - personalities & the legends of racing.
HRN began broadcasting in 1996 & has since become the largest interactive horse racing network in America. HRN takes you inside the racetrack with All-Access coverage on select weekends. HRN places microphones on select Jockeys, Owners, Trainers & the Starting Crew to give viewers an inside look @ racing.
HRN covers over 80 tracks, with exclusive coverage of several tracks, including North American tracks such as the Woodbine Race Course, Keeneland Race Course, Del Mar Racetrack, Hollywood Park Racetrack, Meadowlands, Suffolk Downs & Monmouth Park. The network also broadcasts races from various tracks in Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland & Japan. HRN coverage includes events such as the Japan Cup, the Blue Grass Stakes & Royal Ascot.
Currently it's available through DISH Network, select markets of Verizon FiOS TV, Time Warner Cable, COX Communications & on South Florida Fantasy Cable TV, as well as on the Comcast Digital Sports Tier in select U.S. markets.
Since January of 2000, HRN has had a sister companion in Canada within the same name. But unlike the HRN in America, HRN in Canada has 5 multiplex feeds for more LIVE horse racing coverage. HRN may develop the same thing and format from their Canadian counterparts. But so far, those are rumors and those rumors have yet to be confirmed, nor denied by HRN
