SCKansas City is a regional sports network serving the Kansas City region. Originally a sub-feed of SCMidwest (DirecTV still treats it as such due to lack of bandwidth), the network became SCKansas City in 2008 as a result of a new long-term broadcast agreement with MLB's Kansas City Royals. SCKansas City was created to avoid conflicts with St. Louis Cardinals coverage, which remains on SCMidwest. SCKansas City televised 140 Royals games during the 2008 regular season, it's first full baseball season on the air. It aired 145 Royals games 2009. SCKansas City also produces Royals LIVE pre-game & post-game shows & Royals Insider

SCKansas City is also available in 1080i HD. It aired 100 Royals games in HD in 2009. It also airs national SC games & events in HD
